Helena Park, CEO, Sales & Marketing, and Founder Helena heads our team under the belief that ‘clear water runs from the top’ and inspires each member of the FFI team to strive for excellence in all that we do. She is the sole director, managing officer and shareholder of Fishermen’s Finest, Inc. Ms. Park was born in South Korea and came to the United States as a high school exchange student in 1973. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Food and Nutritional Science from the University of California Berkeley and a Master’s of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. She began working in the fishing industry in 1982 and focused on the sales of product into Japanese, Korean and Chinese markets and has owned and operated longline catcher processors and continues to own and operate trawl catcher processors.
Kristian Uri, General Manager Kristian Uri is the General Manager for Fishermen’s Finest. His duties include all aspects of owning and operating two Head & Gut (H&G) Factory Trawlers. He oversees company operations as Chief of Vessel Operations, personnel, vessel insurance administration, Corporate Travel Department (CTD - Travel Director and ARC Specialist) and other associated duties. Mr. Uri has been with FFI since 1997 and has spent a great deal of his life at sea as a fish processor, deckhand, and winch driver aboard crab fishing vessels and factory trawlers. Mr. Uri also attended the University of Washington school of Fisheries, focusing on Fisheries Science and Aquaculture.
Mike Guy, Chief Financial Officer Mike Guy leads the finance and accounting group at Fishermen’s Finest with more than 15 years of experience in public accounting and in executive level finance positions. Prior to joining Fishermen’s Finest in October 2009, Mr. Guy was a Director in RSM McGladrey’s mergers and acquisitions consulting practice in Seattle, WA and was responsible for leading teams in buy and sell-side due diligence for financial and corporate buyers. From 2002 to 2008, Mr. Guy served as the Corporate Controller of Mammoth Mountain Ski Area in Mammoth Lakes, California where he oversaw finance, accounting, purchasing and treasury functions of two ski resorts, four hotels, a championship golf course, and multiple retail and food and beverage locations. Mr. Guy began his career in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ mergers and acquisitions practice in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Guy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Susan F. Robinson, Regulatory Susan Robinson has worked in the commercial fishing industry since 1983. In the 1980s she worked in New England and the Mid-Atlantic fisheries, in the private sector as quality controller and in the public sector for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s Fisheries Division. Ms. Robinson worked as a Federal Fisheries Domestic Groundfish Observer for two years in Alaska, prior to relocating to the West Coast. She has worked as Operations Manager for two factory trawler companies and as a fisheries consultant to an Alaskan community Development Quota corporation. She has been with Fishermen’s Finest for 13 years in the capacity of manager of Government Affairs, Fisheries Management and Compliance. Her undergraduate major was Geology at Vassar College and she fulfilled all credits for the Master of Marine Affairs Program at the University of Rhode Island.
