American No. 1

American No.1 was built by Marine Construction and Design Company (MARCO) in Seattle, Washington in 1979 as a combination crab/fish catcher processor. Senator Warren G. Magnuson (pictured below) proclaimed at the time “this vessel marks the beginning of the end of foreign fishing vessels in American waters.” We refer to her as our flagship vessel as she’s the first vessel developing what’s known today as the Amendment 80 sector and currently operates catching and processing fish.
