Designer new large-trawler to Icelandic shipping

The company Rammi hf domiciled Fjallabygd Iceland has contracted new factory trawler at Tersan Shipyard in Turkey. The boat of ST-116XL design, has a length of 79.8 m and a width of 15.4 m.

When the ship is completed basis yard around the end of 2016/2017, so this will be the biggest and most modern trawler in Icelandic Fisheries fleet.

The trawler will get a totally new filletfabrikk where new filletteknologi will be used for the first time aboard ship. Below the main deck will be arranged for an entirely new factory solution for the production of flour and oil based on raw material supply from filletfabrikken. It is expected that the yield for meal and oil will increase relative to current technology.

The ship has an interior for 38 people where demands for comfort and safety have been emphasized extensively. Furthermore trawler have a "Clean" notation, which suggests that it will adhere to strict environmental standards in terms of emissions and consumption.

Norwegian Device manufacturers will dominate supplier list. Overall nests buy goods and services from Norway to over 100 million.

For Skipsteknisk mission is very valuable in several ways. We see this as a prestige project in relation to the Icelandic market but also the mission valuable at a time when it contracted far fewer ships offshore. In our cooperation with Tersan Shipyard in Turkey, then the new ship our factory trawler No.. 10 in the series.
