Fishermen’s Fall Festival
The Fishermen’s Fall Festival celebrates the North Pacific fishing fleets, works to increase the public’s knowledge of the importance of the fishing industry as well as Fishermen’s Terminal to Seattle, while raising money for the Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial Foundation.
Emanuel Cubillan 5 Years
We recognized five year crew, Emmanuel Cubillan at our Kirkland headquarters today - September 26, 2024. Emanuel’s #FishFinest career started as a fish processor and he worked his way to combi-deckhand, cook, and ultimately Chief Steward.
Thomas Fio 10 Years
On Friday, September 6th, Thomas Fio stopped by Fishermen’s Finest Kirkland and was recognized by Ms. Park for more than 10 years of service to Fishermen’s Finest.
Kirkland Chamber Golf
On Monday, July 22, 2024, Fishermen’s Finest was pleased to support the 30th Annual Peter Kirk Golf Classic at Echo Falls Golf Club in Snohomish. 130 Golfers with a heavy maritime influence were on hand to play the exquisitely prepared golf course - kudos to all who participated, volunteered, and worked to make the event a success.
Juan Hernandez Retirement
Juan Hernandez, valued member of the Fishermen’s Finest team, has made his last trip aboard the U.S. INTREPID. He offloaded the boat this weekend in Kodiak and came through the Kirkland Headquarters today to be recognized for 25 years of service and to acknowledge his retirement.
Monterey Bay Aquarium

Kim Chuol 5 Years
On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, Ms. Park recognized Keem “Kim” Chuol for five years of service to Fishermen’s Finest.
Safety Fair
Each year, the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial hosts a Fishermen's Safety Fair to teach fishermen practical skills to save their boats and their lives. Together with our trainers and sponsors, we hope to promote and educate fishermen on the importance of safety. On Wednesday, May 22nd, we had a great turn-out in Fishermen’s Terminal.
Fishermen's Memorial
Each year, on the first Sunday in May, the Seattle fishing community gathers to remember those who have gone before us. During our dedication, we acknowledge those who have had tiles installed (industry-related loss) or have been added to the Memorial Wall (lost at sea).
Kirkland Chamber
Kirkland Chamber of Commerce celebrated 105 years with their Annual Gala, held on Saturday, April 20th at The Westin, Bellevue. Our party of the year celebrated a “Come Glow With Us”
Derelict Crab Pots
Fishermen’s Finest, Inc. (FFI) recognizes our responsibility as good stewards of the North Pacific fisheries resources and our unique ability to further National and Global goals of removing derelict fishing gear and marine debris from our environment. As part of this recognition, FFI launched a Derelict Crab Pot Removal Program in 2023.
96th Annual Fleet Blessing
On Sunday, March 17th, the 96th Annual Blessing of the Fleet took place at the Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial in Fishermen’s Terminal.
Flounder Sandwich Popeyes
Popeyes has reintroduced the beloved Flounder Fish Sandwich just in time for Lent, showcasing top-quality Alaska flounder, marinated in Popeyes' signature Louisiana herbs and spices, then coated in a southern-style crispy batter, fried to perfection until golden brown, and served on a buttery brioche bun alongside barrel-cured pickles and tartar sauce.

WASA - Wild Alaska Sole
WASA wants the world to know about Wild Alaska Sole — Seattle, WA – January 25, 2024 — The major producers of Alaska flatfish have announced the formation of a new non-profit marketing organization, the Wild Alaska Sole Association (WASA), to increase the awareness, appreciation, and value of Wild Alaska Sole in domestic and international markets.
5 years Renie Martinez
On Friday, January 12, 2024, Ms. Park was aboard AMERICA’S FINEST at Terminal 91/Port of Seattle to recognize Renie Martinez for more than five years of service to Fishermen’s Finest.
The VanderPol Decade
On Thursday, January 4th, Ms. Park recognized Captain Darrin VanderPol for 10 years of service at her annual Captain/Mates meeting at Fishermen’s Finest’s Kirkland Headquarters.
