The LA Times had a ‘Fast-Food Fried Fish Sandwich Throwdown,’ where they reviewed the Fast-Food Fish Sandwiches - with Popeyes being the newest product on the market.
Peter Kirk Golf Classic
Fishermen’s Finest was well represented yesterday, July 26, 2021 at the 27th Annual Peter Kirk Golf Classic at the Golf Club at Echo Falls. The tournament is one of the largest fundraisers for the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce.
Joie de Vivre 2021
As is our custom, we have a celebration (Joie de Vivre - joy of life) nearly each July and this year’s celebration took on new meaning as it was our first in-person gathering at our Kirkland Headquarters since the start of the pandemic.
Kyle Sandwick 10 Years
Fishermen’s Finest took a moment on June 22, 2021 to recognize Kyle Sandwick for ten years of service. Kyle was at FishFinest MUK (our Mukilteo warehouse and pandemic operations office) for his Abbott ID NOW PCR test and Kristian Uri presented him with a gift from Ms. Park - our customary Omega Seamaster ‘James Bond’ self-winding watch.

Circling back to recognize our long-time employee Darrin Eklund who was recognized by Ms. Park at our Joie De Vivre 2019 party at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue January 4, 2019. Starting as a Fish Processor, he worked his way up to Deckhand, First Mate, and now Captain.
Green Marine
Kirkland, Washington, June 3, 2021 – Fishermen’s Finest, Inc. is the first commercial fishing fleet to achieve certification under the Green Marine environmental certification program for the maritime industry. The program’s participating members distinguish themselves within the marine sector as they undertake to measure their annual environmental performance with clear goals to reduce their footprint.
Maritime Day 2021
Each year on May 22 our country celebrates National Maritime Day. The United States has always been and will always be a great maritime nation. The Merchant Marine has been a pillar in this country’s foundation of prosperity and security. They power the world’s largest economy and strengthen our ties with trading partners around the world, all while supporting our military forces by shipping troops and supplies wherever they need to go.
Covid Vaccine
As of April 30, 2021, 98% of Fishermen’s Finest at-sea crew are at least partially vaccinated for Covid-19; 63% are fully vaccinated. We could not have done this without the support of Discovery Health MD.
20 Years Moreno & Molina!
Congratulations are in order for two of Fishermen’s Finest - Jose Moreno and Marcos Molina - both have served the Company for 20+ years and were honored today in quarantine.

The Alaska commercial fishing industry and several other US seafood industry groups made their case Thursday March 18, 2021 for why the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) should move forward with an organic label for wild caught-seafood
Luis Sanchez 10 Years!
While feeding our hotel quarantine crew dinner on Saturday, Ms. Park took a moment to recognize Luis Sanchez for ten years of service to Fishermen’s Finest.
International Women's Day
International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Marked annually on March 8th, International Women's Day #IWD is one of the most important days of the year to celebrate women's achievements.

On Monday, March 1, 2021, Ms. Park presented Nathan Meyer with his 10 year watch - Omega Seamaster 300m ‘James Bond’ self-winding timepiece — as well as delivering dinner to all our hotel quarantined crew.
Kirkland Chamber
Fishermen’s Finest has been a member of the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce since we moved to Kirkland in 2011. In January 2020, Kristian Uri was named to the board of the Kirkland Chamber - we are proud and thankful to be members of the Chamber and part of the vibrant Kirkland community.

Happy New Year – 2021 – Year of the Ox (metal). According to Chinese myth, the order of the animals in the zodiac cycle was decided by the order arrival of the guest (animals) to an event thrown by the Jade Emperor.
The Ox fell behind the Rat after it was tricked into giving the smaller creature a ride, the myth claims.

In recognition of 20 years of service, as is our tradition at Fishermen’s Finest, Ms. Park presented Greg Sharp with a Rolex Submariner watch and a certificate of achievement at our Kirkland headquarters earlier in January.
